Robotics & IoT
Design, build and program connected devices, sensors and smart automated systems — the technology behind smart homes, industry and cities.
Overview
The physical and digital worlds are merging — and the Internet of Things and robotics are leading the way. Robotics & IoT at IPMC is a hands-on, project-based course that teaches you to build and program the connected, intelligent devices shaping our future.
You'll work with real electronics, sensors and microcontrollers, write the code that brings them to life, connect them to the internet, and finish by building your own smart device or robot.
What you'll learn
- The fundamentals of IoT and robotics
- Electronics, sensors and actuators
- Programming microcontrollers (Arduino / Raspberry Pi)
- Connecting devices to data and the cloud
- Automation and control systems
- How to build a real smart-device project
Course content
What IoT and robotics are, where they're used, and how the pieces fit together.
The hardware basics — circuits, sensors and the components that sense and act.
Program Arduino and Raspberry Pi to control devices and respond to the world.
Get devices talking to each other, to the internet and to the cloud.
Use sensor data to automate and control systems intelligently.
Design and build your own working IoT device or robot from start to finish.
Who it's for
This course is ideal for students, hobbyists, engineers, developers and anyone curious about building connected hardware and smart systems.
Basic logical thinking helps; no prior electronics or coding experience is required to start.
Your certificate
On successful completion, you'll earn an IPMC certificate — recognised by employers across Ghana — plus a working device project to show what you've built.
Build the connected future.
